Our Dachshunds Are

Our Cherished Companions

  Buckeye Badger Hounds

Welcome to our site. We have a small dachshund breeding program, offering puppies in both long and smooth coats. We only have 2 to 3 litters per year and each breeding is carefully considered before taking place. We are located in Lebanon, Ohio, which is between Dayton and Cincinnati. We are not a "kennel", our dogs live in our home with us and are considered to be a part of our family. My love of this breed began as a child and has never left. If you are considering bringing a puppy into your home, please research the breeds in which you are interested. Doing so will help you to make the best decision as to which breed will best fit into your family. Keep in mind that not every breed will do well in your unique family structure. If you wish to purchase a puppy from us, I will ask you some questions when we talk on the phone. I refer to this as a Telephone Interview. Please understand that I do this not to judge, but to place our puppies in stable, loving homes. I came up with these questions due to puppy purchase mistakes I have either made myself or observed by friends/family. I am simply trying to avoid placing a puppy in a situation where they will be re-homed in the future. To view questions that I ask, click HERE.

These are basic questions that I will ask everyone. During our conversation, more questions may arise. If you are purchasing a puppy to use in a breeding program, I will be asking you several more questions than I will a pet only buyer. You are encouraged to write your own list of questions for me to answer. After this is completed, we can both make a decision on your purchase.

I am not a breeder that collects payment on the puppy, then sends the buyer on his/her way. I truly care about the well being of the little ones that we sell. If you ever need help or have questions, you may contact me at any time. I would also love updates on the dachshunds as they grow and mature. If your situation changes, and you find that you must part with your dachshund, my door will always be open to welcome them back.
